1. Vacancy of Post of Commercial/Marketing Assistant


Terms of Employment:

  • Full time permanent position (upon completion of probation)

  • Starting salary – US $ 1200/- p.m (payable in equivalent KZT)

  • Annual Bonus (one month’s salary)

  • 21 days Annual leave


Required Qualifications:

  • University Degree or equivalent, preferably with economic/commercial background

  • (Post graduate degree in Management or Economics or International Trade or Business would be desirable)

  • Good administrative, organizational and time management abilities

  • Fluency (both oral and written) in English, Russian and Kazakh

  • Good computer skills (including word processing, excel, email)

  • Good telephone skills

  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills

  • Previous experience of similar work would be desirable


Areas of Responsibility:

  • To attend to trade/commercial enquiries emanating from India and Kazakhstan.

  • To liaise with local trade bodies, associations and Government ministries on a regular basis on various commercial, investment and economic issues.

  • To translate documents and letters from Russian/Kazakh into English and vice versa.

  • To arrange and accompany Embassy officials, delegations to meetings and conferences; interpret during the meetings and prepare record of discussions.

  • To obtain statistics and economic information, including information on local tenders and investment projects and disseminate it.

  • To arrange B2B meetings for visiting commercial delegations from India with local companies, facilitate visas and coordinate their participation in local exhibitions, fairs and conferences.

  • To coordinate visits of commercial delegations from Kazakhstan to India.

  • To maintain contact lists and data base related to area of responsibility.

  • Analyse the trade and economic trends, market opportunities, and prepare product/sector specific reports/presentations.

  • Any other work assigned by the Embassy.
